Sometimes, although rarely, I think we meet people who change us. They are made for us. To challenge us, to open us, to love us, to help us to grow. I think these are the people that become our lifelong friends, altering us in ways that leave us with no choice but to love them back. Fate ties us to these beings in a way that may be entirely unclear to us, or maybe if we looked hard enough, it would be fairly obvious.
I don’t know if I believe in the fairy tale definition of soulmates, but if there is such a thing, I believe that it is these people who become ours.
